I would politely like to remind you all that Lesbians exist. Bisexual women who primarily find women attractive over men, also exist. They exist, and they should be heard and recognized.

I have lurked around a lot and have seen a lot of this outcry for more m/m pairings and shipping ALL the m/m pairings and yay for m/m pairings. And that is just fine by me. Homosexual men also exist, and they have a right to exist.

Why is it, though, that when people are shouting for more female pairings, they tend to mean only heterosexual ones? Why are homosexual men the bread and butter of homosexual RP/writings/fanfics/fanart?

This does not seem right, and I know a few things that are worse, and YES I am looking at all the gay women out there that play gay men everywhere and only ship the gay men and go gaga over the gay men. By all means, play what you want and what you enjoy, but by only supporting m/m pairings you are screwing yourselves over for acceptance in this community. You are lesbians and have the right to be lesbians and RP women loving women all over the place.

This is a fantasy world filled with fantasy people, and you aught to feel comfortable to express your true self in it. And you aught to be able to explore all of the varied types of expressions of love out there, not just m/m love or m/f love.

Also, while we’re on the subject, two men kissing is not the most pure expression of love. It is not some kind of more clean, better, super duper most wonderful unicorns shitting rainbows happy for all time kind of pairing. Two men making love with eachother is NOT more beautiful than a man and a women or two women making love. Nor are two women or a man and a woman making love or kissing somehow dirtier, naughtier, raunchier, or I guess in some circles ( for f/f) ‘hotter’. Two men kissing is not ‘better’ than two women kissing. There is no reason at all that in this world that two men kissing should be more acceptable than anything else, and if you think two men kissing should be allowed then you aught to be cheering for two women kissing, too.

Anyone kissing anyone at all is a perfect expression of love. Anyone making love to anyone at all is the purest expression of that form.

Lesbians exist. SUPPORT THEIR EXISTENCE.
